Starfish occurs in Hong Kong’s coastal waters. There is no meat but sundried starfish is good ingredient for soup. A popular soup recipe of the fishing community consists of starfish, carrot and spareribs. It is very sweet and tasty. Eggs of female starfish are edible. The most common way of cooking is to steam with eggs.
