Fourfinger Threadfin

Cantonese: (Ma Yau)

A large fish with tender meat and rich oil. Most threadfins found in markets are frozen but sometimes smaller fresh ones are available. Steaming is the best cooking method. Meat is soft and has an aroma of fish oil. Excellent ingredient for salty or salt marinated fish.
