Wind Tower Park and Shui Yuet Temple

Address: Lei Chi Road, Ap Lei Chau
Wind Tower Park on Ap Lai Chau opened on 28 September 2009 to provide locals and overseas visitors with a natural scenic spot for leisure. 2.62 hectares in size, the park boasts a Wind Tower in the shape of a traditional fishing boat. From this vantage point, you can gaze across both sides of the typhoon shelter. The tower has a novel electronic indicator that changes colour with wind force. The park also features an exhibition gallery on Hong Kong's traditional fishing and shipbuilding industries. A visit there will broaden your understanding of the fishing way of life and fishing customs.

Not far away from Wind Tower Park, you will find Shui Yuet Temple. This historic place of worship is well attended by local fishermen. If you are interested in the heritage and religious belief of the fishing community, this place is well worth a visit.
